Port overview

Constructed by the United States military during the Second World War, the Freeport of Monrovia is the largest port in the NPA network. Two rock breakwaters of approximately 2,300 metres and 2,200 metres enclose about 300 hectares of sheltered water. Its marginal wharf extends approximately 600 metres and the harbour also includes the former LMC, NIOC and BMC finger piers.
